I've taken a break from neopets for over a year and a half now. I only recently got back into it, and needless to say, I'm a bit lost. I was wondering if you could fill me in on what's been going on for the past year or so (plots, wars, new shops/items, pets, etc.)

Well, there's a new world, Kreludor, which is the moon over Neopia. http://www.neopets.com/moon/index.phtml We had a war between an evil eeyrie Kass and Meridell, which was rushed and left users wanting more... lot's of sponsor games have come and gone... Lot's of security problems on Neopets, with not many explanations... Auctions have changed a bit, battledome is up and down... Lots of pets are being reevamped, there's a new pet, the yurble!

Neopia has been mad collecting avatars, which caused the inflation of a lot of items which can get you the avatar, such as the Orange, Halloween and Grey paint brush, add the Island Paint brush as well, morphing and transmogrification potions, HT items, TCG cards (these are a new set of items in Neopets, following the release of the trading game card [true to life items]), some collectable cards (Fire Paw and Kasuki lu), blue evil fuzzle, nerkmids, bag of peanuts, snorkle snout (this was the snout item that esophagor asks for) etc.

A lot of downgrades occured, battle ducks are no longer the popular items in Battledome. TNT has released a bunch of prize weapons from wars, and from redeeming TCG codes (you get codes to redeem virtual prizes every time you buy a pack of Neopets TCG cards). And now, everytime you finish Neoquest 2, you get a weapon from finishing it. Strong weapons for those who will finish the Evil and Insane modes.

BOOM and SSGS hit 0 in the Neodaq. MPC, the meridell potato company, debuted at the stockmarket.

Trades are now canceled (put back to your inventory) after 2 weeks of creating them. Auctions system has been revamped--you can't withdraw the NP you bid until the auction of the item is finally finished.

A lot of new games debuted, the popular ones are the Whack a Kass and Freaky Factory. Some games also offer avatars when you get good scores (or hit the high score on them) like Math's Nightmare, Ultimate Bullseye, Korbats Lab etc. They retired some games as well. They added this feature of being able to play retired games in the halloween section of neopia.

Several Defenders of Neopia missions were added, I think now it is on mission 13.

I don't know if you were here then but they now reset high score tables at the end of the month to give chance to people to earn more trophies.

Lots of glitches occured, rollbacks and missing items from unequipping them (BD items).

Lots of items redrawn. Too many to mention. Lots of new items as well. New PBs also, like the Snow petpet and pet PBs, maraquan petpet pb, dung petpet pb. Grey pbs also make pets look sad.

So far, that is it, it is a bit tiring to write them all. LOL. Sigh, I should apply as a Neopian news brief writer, too bad they retired that neopian times section. lol.

there was this really huge glitch where people could gain access to other people's passwords and e mail addy's when they put in the username. So quite a few people had their accounts broken into and their things taken. Some people chose self freezing to prevent others from coming into their accounts. The big players who were the main targets got their items and nps back..i'm not sure about the smaller players though

well, now there are (really expensive) petpetpets wich you can attach to your petpets, the darigan world got a make over, a new dung petpet paint brush, sketch petpet paint brush, and surprisingly the banner of the games page got changed, and changed back to the old one

In the last year TNT have had more glitches than anything else. Its been frustrating for eveyone. People have left because of it.
The war was stretched out for too long, and the war prizes not that great. Plus the storyline was a bit dull.

-manufacturing and advertising went on a huge fritz this past year and seems to be the main focus of the site now. However, some of the best weapons & such can be earned through the trading card redmption codes.

-The User lookups, neomail, and neoboards have all recieved complete overhauls, tehy all look fancier but seemto have the same problems as prior. The Neoboards have became a real big center of trade, which is awesome for people in the buying/selling market.

-Uhh..The problems with Flash games seem to have fallen a lot(or atleast aren't spoken about as often), but I suppose everyone still plays them. They're still the easiest way to gain NP aswell.

-Restocking recieved a complete overhaul a few months ago as well. Restocks are more often, Prices are higher, r99 restock very rarely and r101s even less often. This caused the fluctuation of a lot of items.

Yeah..thats all I can think of at the moment. I don't want anything.

But, the Kois and Lupes got a makeover. Probably some other pets too that I haven't noticed yet have too.

* the neoboards have been improved, and the 'general' chat board was removed, plus you can have fancy text on the boards and in neomail messages.
* There's a bunch of new shopkeepers (eg. jhudora), lots of pets have been redrawn (eg. kois), and there's many new paintbrushes (dung, royal)
* Poogle solitare was removed
* Lab map prices have skyrocketed
* Now when you bid in an auction, you can't withdraw your bid
* There's a new wheel "the wheel of monotony" which takes 1-2 hrs to spin
* Lots of new games, including kredulan mining corp, whack a kass, freaky factory, tyrannian mini golf, mootix drop, and heaps more
* Items bought in shops only shop up in the shop history if they are 1000np or over

A new land, Meridell, As been added...
They was a war VS Meridell and Darigan, we could choose which world we wanted to defend, and battle VS the other.
A second war, Meridell VS Lord Kass, was just played not too long ago.

Introduction of the Mini-World! The Kiko Lake, Which is...Obviously, a lake where kiko lives (Kiko are now limited edition)...And another mini-world with blumaroos but I don't remember the name! and the neopia Moon, kreludor!

New pets: Yurble, Draik, Krawk...New petpets!
New paint brushes: Royal, Maraquan, Dung(for petpets)...Th elabv ray can now paint your pet Snot...

New games: A LOT! Mootix Drop, Trouble at National Neopian and more! (Check it out)...

New Chatboard! Works very well, and more easy to understands!
