This is so weird and also a little scary.
It is a Vampire Squid.

Yup, its a real animal. It actually has like spines on its tentacles, it will roll the tentacles up around its head to be like a big spiked ball, and it will zoom through the ocean and get all the fish stuck on its spikes, then it'll unravel its tentacles and suck the fish in. :) Thank you college Zoology lol

I've known about them since I was 7. They are my third favorite animal, after Giant and Humbult squid.

And their pretty harmless, as far as we know(we know very little about them.) And they live really deep in the ocean. You guys should be scared of the Humbults, which can grow to six feet long, are very agressive, known to kill humans, and live in normal waters. Freaky. Thats why I love them!

Lovely set by the equally lovely Silja!

If that's a tadpole, I'd hate to see what it looks like when it becomes a frog.

*ponders* GAMABUNTA!?

Gamabunta is cool though. :D Is it just me, or is every animal posted a sea creature... :[ They're not that scary. ^^ Just a bit odd.

That thing is adorable! I wouldn't mind seeing one of those...as long as it was far far far FAR away, behind a glass or in a piccy. But he's still cute. <3

Oh and that shark's tooth picture is NUTS! Sharks freak me out, which is why I refuse to go into the ocean. *shudder* Too many movies.

The giant jellyfish = Lion's Mane Jelly.

And everyone's wrong, the goblin shark's the scariest thing to roam the seas! Oo;

If you like sunfish, view this guys photo collection. It's amazing. I think they're really cute.

I think the squid looks a lot like a Leetleman. OO;

Scary! I'm going to be afraid to go swimming anymore. I'll be too afraid the giant shark will eat me, or that one animal that Igg posted -what is that thing?! Some rare breed?!

Okay, that's not too scary. I'm talking about those black things on the fish. Imagine going swimming in a lake, or maybe at the beach. Then after an enjoyable 30 minutes in the water, you feel something on your leg. You can't see, so you go back to the shore. And just before you get back on, you notice about 5-6 of these long black leech-like things, sucking out your blood. Each one has several rows of serated teeth, sucking out your blood and grinding into your skin as the make your way into your bloodstream, where then slowly eat your liver and other organs, leaving you as an empty shell of flesh.

Okay, I was kidding about the organ part, but they really do suck your blood.
