I adopted a Grarrl as part of using the lab ray to paint pets and make them more adoptable. I noticed, though, that the pet was lodged in the neolodge, had a petpet and had been read 4 books. Otherwise it was just a green pet with the usual low stats.

I am concerned because I can't think why anyone would read to the pet, give it a petpet, and lodge it, and then give it up for adoption.

I'd gladly return the pet if someone lost it by mistake.

Maybe the person putting him for adoption couldn't take care of him so put him in the neolodge, so gave him a petpet and put him for adoption, hoping for him to get a better home

Well, there are numerous reasons a person would put it up for adoption. They may have decided they didn't like its name, or maybe they're quitting, or maybe they're making room for a new pet. And I tink they probably had no intention of putting it for adoption when they read it books and stuff. And whenever I pound pets (But I don't do it normaly- I find good owners) I always leave the petpet on their because I bought it for the pet, so I think it should keep it. And if someone did want the pet back, they'd probably neomail you about it, dontcha think? So I would worry too much about it!

I have neomail turned off because I got tired of the begging messages, but I'll put it back on in case someone is trying to reach me.

It makes me sad that someone might have tried to make it more adoptable and then put it in the pound. I've got to remember this is all a game and not real.

I put a pet in the pound once after getting it all fixed up, and I left the petpet that I'd given it with it. When I checked later to see if someone had adopted it, it had been, but the petpet had been taken from it.

I think they probably just forgot about the stuff on it when they put it in the pound. I don't know how many pets i've abandoned that were stillf ully equipped...petpet and all.

Wait...yes I do...I've only ever abandoned 2 pets so...yeah.

I usually leave gifts with a pet I put up for adoption. BD items, petpets, and I usually have it in the neolodge as well. Not for any great reason, but because I normally lodge my pets to make them happy! I don't usually check to see how much time is left b4 hand.

I pounded a pet that was in the neolodge yesterday, because I only adopted him to go and see turmaculus, and I didn't want to abandon him without looking after him a bit first
