some stuff I found when looking in old NT:

2 - When can our pets meet and get married?
Your pets will be able to bond in some way, either by becoming best buddies, blood brothers or create a special group of friends like a pack or a gang that you have to be invited into. This is one of the things we want to get done as soon as we have finished the battledome.

this is so funny:
8 - Can I enroll my pet in a school to raise the intelligence?
A school is something we may be adding in the future, but for now you can raise your NeoPets intelligence by reading it books. You can normally find books on sale in the Marketplace for less than 30 NP each.

4 - Will we be able to use motes and spells?
Yes, at the moment they can't be equipped to your pets but they are one of the things we will be adding this week

1 - I have been challenged by another character in the Battledome, what do I do?
At the moment you cannot do anything. This is a challenge for the one player Battledome which will be launched very shortly. Then you will be able to have one player fights with characters such as Dr Sloth, Chiazilla and the Power Puff Girls.

5 - Can my NeoPets get jobs?
Yes, if you think your NeoPets should start to earn their keep you can go to the Employment Agency on Faerieland and find a suitable job. The pay, benefits and hours will differ depending on your NeoPets age, level and strengths

all was about four years ago, they were so optimistic.. :q

Heheh, I especially like that one. How long ago was this? I remember reading it, but I can't remember how old it is

Well at least they tried. Tehy've got the employment agency which is still good, but not really a major money maker.

They were optomistic, but they also had to be realistic. The truth is, making a pet-marrigage thingy would have caused problems (especially since the lab ray does do strange things).

I think Donna misunderstood the question. This would be a wonderful idea if the person's intention was to charge Neopoints to play NQ/2.

Key word there is have. Just like TNT isn't out there holding a gun to your head to buy a plushie, nobody is making you pay for neopets premium. It's an extra thing you can purchase if you want to. *shrug* I'm really sick of people making this whole premium thing out to be something it's not. If they can keep increasing revenue with optional products and services while still keeping the main game free, more power to them. *stops hijacking thread and steps off soapbox*

I honestly have to say that I think Adam deserves to be exempt from that rule. He DID create the site, after all, and I know if I created a hugely popular virtual pet site, I'd probably give myself anything I wanted too. I mean, it's MINE!

Well DUH. OF COURSE TNT doesn't just 'set their own amount of NP' whenever they feel like it.
They steal it from the NPC shop profits. ;)
