I want to import a font (or multiple fonts) into powerpoint because well, I use powerpoint all the time and want more options. The problem is, I either can't find where I need to go to import a font, or perhaps even powerpoint won't allow me to do that. If anyone could please tell me how to do this or let me know that it is just plain impossible, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

I'm finally back for the summer, although hopefully I'll spend a little more time away from this screen.

When you install a font, it should be available for use anywhere.
Extract the file (if it's zipped) into your C:\windows\fonts folder. Then open the folder and stare at it until the font shows up.
You should be able to use it anywhere, including all MS Office programs.

Thanks! That was suprisingly easy. I was looking for something powerpoint specific I guess. *skips off to use new fonts for her presentation Monday*

Remember not to get too font happy with Powerpoint presentations! I think the rule of thumb is not more than three different fonts, or your audiences' eyes will go nuts.

That or they focus ONLY on the cool fonts you used, and not the actual content. -_-

Oh I know, as a general rule I only use one font per powerpoint and I'm really careful about which font I use. I really don't like presentations where the animation and backgrounds change every slide so I avoid that as much as possible. I'm also really careful to keep everything simple so that people can actually read what I put up there. Thanks for the tips though!
