Recently Jhuidah had a makeover and this brought to my attention how the faeries are looking skinnier and more Barbie like with each revamp. I mean, for a children's site that censors the younger users from certain content, why are you holding up this image that beautiful things must be skinny and wearing slinky clothing that isn't exactly covering the most of their bodies?
Although I understand that if you ever got a line of dolls for your merchandising, it would be nice to have the 'Perfect Barbie figure' but still, what do you think this image will do to your users? Many young girls already have this image of to be beautiful you have to be skinny driven into their heads and Jhuidah had been a bit more plump but beautiful in her own way. Now, with this new revamp she's skinnier in this 'Barbie-like image', as if saying that skinny is better than what she was before. - Thefluffiestone
I agree with you here. It was not an intentional point to make Jhuidah skinny. That is just the way one artist drew her. She was always more fuller figured than some of our faeries and I think it is a good thing. The various Faeries should look different rather than have one set body type/shape/size.
Well there you have it just before the new one came out.
Well You might as well know that when they grey faerie was released there were "love threads about her."
