And the fire snow and dirty snow are pretty good weapons, but not for a lab pet. They're not going to help with such a low defense... Focus on stronger 6+ icon weapons.

Keep the two mud mixtures. Mud mixtures rock =)

I'd purchase the following:
Lost Desert Dagger
Scarab Stone Slingshot
Snowglobe Staff

Keep the snows, I guess, just in case you want a little bit extra defense on the last turn to help you survive (or you might want to look into an HPS or Radioactive Snow, depending on what icons the pteri uses). Also, go get a healing weapon. I'd recommend at LEAST a blue scorchstone, but since your budget is so low... I don't know =P

You might want to train to level 50 also. Berserk attack is a great help.

Just keep restarting the battle until you freeze the pteri on the first turn with the snowglobe staff.

Acually, I'd reccomend training defence instead. The snows are useless without defence. For her budget she should get a Lesser Healing Scroll.

I'm having trouble beating the Black Pteri, I've fought twice and both were draws. (Stupid TTear) I'm kinda anal about my scores so I don't want to just keep battling until I win by luck... Here's my old lab rat, a Kougra:
Level : 43
Health : 147
Strength : 68
Defence : 9
Move : 41
Items:
Brain Tree Splinters x4 (heh, I love them things)
Mud Mixture x2
Fire Snow
Dirty Snow
^-- cheap stuff but good for their price :D
So I'm wondering if I should keep training up stats, or focus on better weapons? I'm currently getting handouts at the Soup Kitchen, so my budget is really low. I'm really busy lately so I'm lucky if I make more than 3k in a day, also. Advice? Thaaaaaanks in advance.

I agree. Refer up my other reply, snows are useless if you don't train defense. For the Black Pteri, get a Double Dryer or/and Dark Reflectorb to defend against his weapons' icons. here are someweapons suggested for your budget.

Well it's sort of hard for em to train defense without training level =P And neggs or potions are way out of their league, since they're on a tight budget.

If you really have no money to spare, I'd just let labbing do its work. Labbing only works evenly if you use it along with regular training. Or if you let it run its course alone.

Greetings.

In the process of upgrading my battle set, I started to search the market. I would like a Garoo Elite Blaster, but I am not sure it’s worth the present price, around 2 mil.

So, in your opinion, is it a fair fare? Would you go for a cheaper alternative?

What I am looking for is:
- Something strong enough to act as main attack weapon
- Defensive proprieties not necessary
- Reliability and steadyness, since I already have two weapons in my set that are highly random

Thanks in advance

I'm thinking about upgrading my battleset (after I do some training)

what items should I move up to? Keep in mind I'll be upgrading slowly as I don't have much np so I'm looking for items in the million downwards np range.

Stats:
level 51
115 hp
45 defense
79 strength

It's a lab pet so forget about species weapons

I have these items currently on it.

Halo of devilpuss
ice conker
leaf shield
spider on a string
greater healing scroll
black frost cannon
Illusens earth potion
Immense rubber axe of doom

Any help would be very welcome.

Hi, I was wondering what weapons I should get:
Stats:
Hp:75
Str:66
Def:36
Level:40
I use the lab and train with the training school.

Equipment:
Ramtors Spellbook
Halo of Devilpuss
Leaf Shield
Honey Potion
Shovel Plus (sometimes replaced with Scroll of Freezing)
Greater Healing Scroll
Downsize!
Illusens Earth Potion

I was thinking to get a Portable Kiln ( or any other item that does 11 solid)
or a Sword of Apocalypse but I'm not sure yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'd sell ramtors and get a halo of devilpuss and save for an HH. The NQII are prone to downgrade, anyway, so you might as well not risk it on a 1mil np item. It's your choice, though. I just think it's a pretty hefty gamble.

Okay, I havent been on neopets for awhile properly so I'm not really up to date with the weapons. What would be the best value 9 icon weapon around these days?

I believe there is only ONE 9-icon weapon at the moment, and that's the mystery fruit bowl. More expensive than some 10-icon weps though.

Acually, there's more. Like the Zapatron 4000, or the random Staff of RIghteous Fury (8-12) and some others.

The Staff of Righteous Fury isn't 9 icon. It's 10 icon average. And plus, it's random. If you want to consider any weapon with the POTENTIAL of doing 9 icons, there's many. i forgot about the other zapatron =P It's too rare, however, too be used. I'd get a Ramtors Spellbook instead. I think those are the only two solid 9 icon, non-specie weapons (not sure if some of those new specie weps are 9 icons or not)

With that defence, I'd scrap the Tiki Amulet. It'll only defend one icon for you. Unless you're battling the Chia Clown, and it's not so useful there either. I'm not sure if the Z2k is variable defense though. Just save up for a Hypno Helmet or go with a Black Frost Cannon for a less reliable freeze, but with a little attack. And a blue ss isn't going to help you much with such high HP. Possibly consider upgrading? Or getting a specie wep and stop labbing?
