I'm definitely getting the DVD one, 4 discs is a bit too much for me...

I still have to get to work for the shockingly accurate people I know IRL Sims. I got the hair done for one and the clothes done for another, but aside from that, not much progress.

Also, is this rated Teen? Just wondering, because I doubt that my mom will let me get anything rated Mature.

Of course it's rated teen... they know that if it was mature they'd lose money... plus all of the first sims stuff was teen so don't see why they would up it to mature *shrugs*

I'm dying for it!! The Sims is one of my favorite games (second only to the Heroes of Might and Magic series) and I've been waiting for TS2 for over a year!

I preordered and got overnight shipping, so hopefully I'll have it next Tuesday or Thursday!

WOOOO Went to Best buy and they had it!!! Both the DVD and CDrom versions.... YAY! It's installing right now.. so ya know.. if you don't see me for a few months you know where I'll be

Huh its out in the stores here. Online people should have gotten it already and the stores like best buy around here have it already. It came out today for them.

I preordered the game on the 13th. It was shipped yesterday and arrived this afternoon. So far, though, I have only made a Sim. I had to rush off to class and haven't been able to explore the game yet. My only complaint so far is the fact that you can't really make "chubby" Sims. The "larger" body simply has this odd pregnant looking pooch on it. {This is referring to the female Sims, of course.}

There will probably be more body types later on.. I mean they do leave enough room on that little part for more body types

I haven't really gotten a chance to play it either... installed it.. started creating a sim but had to quit to watch the new survivor

EDIT: Alrighty.. played some and WOW... ehehehe I'm in love with it.. It's taking me a bit to get used to it.. but it's so so cool.

My sim I made is such a slob

She is such a pig when she's eating.. and in the middle of it she'll let out this humongous burp.. it's hilarious :roflol:

I'd post some screenshots of her.. but I dunno where they're at (someone tell me where they're stored!

My roommate's boyfriend bought Sims 2 for her, and it arrived yesterday. We ended up installing it on my computer because her's couldn't handle it. She managed to get me addicted too! I had to change my birthday/Christmas wishlist so I can get my own copy.

We're having a bit of a problem with a ghost in the first house we created (we've been playing the game together since it's her game and my computer). I think we're going to try to delete its urn once we're done with classes for the day and have time to play the game again. A stupid Sim who came over to visit stayed at our house overnight reading a magazine, and the Grim Reaper arrived (my current theory is that the visitor Sim starved to death). Since then, it's been very difficult for the Sim who lives in the house to get any sleep!

And my Sim is a slob too. The food flying across the room really is a great effect

Rofl... the AI is a bit better but Sims aren't the brightest crayons in the box still

That's pretty funny that you have a ghost in the house.

One of my chicks goal things was to be saved from near death or something *shrugs* and another was to see a ghost.. but thank goodness they change when she sleeps heh.

Today.. I'm gonna raise up her skills a bit more and get her a job!.. YAY!

It's pretty boring.

I mean, why didn't they just put EVERYTHING from the previous expansions in this one?

I'm sure we're going to see a Sims 2 expansion for vacations, pets, and ugh.

Theres an expansion coming out in late november

Supposedly they are unna start a big fat advertising campain for the sims around xmas....

But i'm not allowed to play my shiny copy until i've done this massive project that I have to do to catch up in class (long time off sick). Very not cool!

Are they really bringing an expansion out that soon??

And I agree... don't see why they couldn't include at least more of the things from the Sims 1....
Like rugs.... god... all of my houses look so empty without rugs
