Well, Emo is another way to refer to Punk Rock music. I'm think Fidds would be able to fill you in as she knows a lot more than me on this subject.

Huh. I didn't even think about that. This is what I found:

Emo /eee-moe/ (short for emotional) is a genre of punk rock music. The term was originally applied to bands in the Washington DC punk scene who played a more raucous and emotional form of punk than the norm.

Well thats a bit rubbish. Looks like I won't be keeping that one. I'm not having that horrid usuki on my shop or not looking at it X_X

DC had the hardcore scene. Emo is about being sad ("boohoohoo, my girlfriend dumped me, and im really really sad") and emotional. its a genre of music that's getting more popular every day.
