Oh, xtcyre I completely agree! If you're gonna cheat on a game site, what are you doing in rl?! Kind of like the people who beg on the site. Do they go to the mall, sit in front a store and beg strangers to go buy them something expensive?
though that may sound like a very logical reasoning but it's not really true. most of the cheaters who choose the "easier" way out in a game normally treat a game like... a game. having worked among customers who are avid gamers from all walks of life, it's all in the attitude towards the game. some of them are successful career personnel or have respectable jobs and are quite trustworthy in real life. however, some of them, when it comes to tackling a tough game would give up and use the cheats to quickly go through the game as they don't want to stress out trying to beat it. some others would refuse to use cheats and spend longer time trying to beat it to the point that they can stay out all night till they have figured out how to beat the level. they would cheer like they have struck the lottery after that.
i have some colleagues who used to play neopets too. like any other games they tackle, they like to look for "quick fixes" because they think it was fun. when neopets was still in its infancy, they downloaded cheats to play flash games then and thought nothing of it. naturally, they were caught many months later (no bots to catch and warn then) and frozen. they were pretty much unfazed and went on to other games because to them, it's all a game.
edit: but one thing is right though, if a neopets player can spend years playing the game through cheating then you got to start wondering...
