Like many others on Neopets, I was a poor innocent user, who fell victim to the many hackers and scammers, who are prepared to do everything and anything, to get their hands on your account. So I have taken it upon myself to write a guide, on how to protect your Neopets, your items, your neopoints, and just generally your account on Neopets.
HACKER TRICK ONE: PASSWORDS
What are they?: This is an obvious trick. Basically, a hacker will try to guess you password, thats all you need to know.
How do I protect my Account?: I know this is obvious, but make sure your password is totally secure. Neopets have introduced this password thing where you need at least one number in your password. If you are an old Neopian, and havent changed your password to suit at least one number do so now. Also, dont make your password obvious, dont make it your username, or Neopets1 or pokemon1 or something that an evil hacker could quite clearly guess, make sure its something that you, and you only know. I change my password weekly, just to be extra secure, if you are the forgetful type, you may not want to do this, but it is something I would recommend.
