I feel i should have mentioned this before, but i now feel really silly about it all. this is a template, i.e if you type in {{Unspoken Rules}}, it will show all the text placed on this page. my apologies on not saying this earlier. :(--Jacob 21:57, 30 May 2006 (CDT)

This is a template. everything you type in is will appear somewhere if you type in {{Unspoken Rules}} in the article. it's not an official help page.

On showing the date

this has been on my mind for awhile...i've always shown the dates as month/day/year, but i've noticed Macbeth is using day/month/year. we need to have a decided style, and i'm glad it's finally being brought up. hmmmm...if an example on Neopets could be presented (how they present the dates), would it be alright to follow suit?--Jacob 21:57, 30 May 2006 (CDT)

New Features lists their records as date then month. Although come to think of it, the archive lists them as month then date. Still, they both use 'st's, 'nd's, 'rd's and 'th's. --Macbeth 09:46, 31 May 2006 (CDT)

Found a source. the editorial of issue 238 of the Neopian Times says "July 16, 2001" in refering to the Usurper! plot. Now, i don't know if that means this will make it the be official telling, but it's a start on making it official. Touche. But how it's spoken in a sentence i think has more bearing on the usage. Again, we are trying to figure out how to go about doing this, and I've grown up saying month/day/year, and is force of habit. Hmmm...found the wikipedia guideline for this topic. may give some answers.

As I have grown up saying day, month, year... To be honest, I hadn't thought about it until I did this article. Hmmm, I see what you mean. I would have thought they would use the same method in a sentence as they have otherwised expressed, though. --Macbeth 16:22, 31 May 2006 (CDT)
