On templates placement[edit]

You were right to create this template Macbeth, as it's a common practice to show which articles have been featured in the past in Wikipedia as well. using the shooting star muffin was a nice touch as well, seeing as featured articles are signified by a star. :D Still, the current placement of the template in articles seems random, and also making it look like it is part of the article, rather than a note to readers. Perhaps it would be best to place it in the upper right corner of the article as it's done in these articles as well? --Jacob 07:35, 7 Jan 2007 (CST)

Hmmm... I think I can see a way how that could be done... Leave it with me, let me experiment a bit ;). --Macbeth 10:37, 7 Jan 2007 (CST)

Does this mean you don't want me to move around the placement of the template as it currently is on all articles? *scratches head* will await to see what you will do then. *thumbs up* :) --Jacob 19:59, 8 Jan 2007 (CST)

If you like... As long as you keep it on all the articles ;). --Macbeth 15:55, 9 Jan 2007 (CST)

Template Redesign (01/04/07)[edit]

Sorry it took so long - a few things came up, heh. What do we think of its current placement? --Macbeth 14:09, 1 Apr 2007 (CDT)

It is very, very, nice. :D Congrats on altering the template in a way that it wouldn't push the rest of the article down from the title. It even looks like the featured article method they use on Wikipedia (where you got the idea?). good job. *gives applause* --Jacob 21:20, 1 Apr 2007 (CDT)
*bows* I try to please :¬). It is indeed based on the Wikipedia Featured Article note (as per your suggestion). --Macbeth 12:10, 2 Apr 2007 (CDT)

The coding was recently updated by Himmelsdemon, and it's unclear why that is. I am keen on reversing the effects, as it's pushing down the text from the top of the article, but i'm hoping to find out why this change was nessesary first. :o --Jacob 10:15, 13 Apr 2007 (CDT)

I changed it mainly because of the Cybunny article. The text of the template was layering over the picture of the Cybunny. I added two lines, then changed the template. I apologize for not addressing the problem before editing.--Demon 10:19, 13 Apr 2007 (CDT)
Also the old template caused the first line of the article to overlap the horizontal bar underneath the article title (at least that's what happened in IE, don't know about other web browsers). It was not just the Cybunny article but all of the featured articles as well. This change fixes that :) --Dizzy 10:24, 13 Apr 2007 (CDT)
*slaps forehead* I better make sure to do more exhaustive IE tests, next time, huh? --Macbeth 16:31, 14 Apr 2007 (CDT)

The same sort of thing happened with the current event template, in that the text appeared outside of the grey box in internet explorer. Was able to fix that. :) about the latest edit...is it ging to work? the text isn't pushed down in internet explorer, but it does look that way in firefox. is it one of those things we need to let go for now? --Jacob 18:38, 14 Apr 2007 (CDT)

Unprotected?[edit]

I can see you made this unprotected today...is there a reason for that? :o --Jacob 19:59, 8 Jan 2007 (CST)

Some of the testing I was doing... I wanted to preview it in IE, where I was not signed in... --Macbeth 15:55, 9 Jan 2007 (CST)
