Meridell: Lost in Time[edit]

oh my god...talk about a headache. the 1st war of Meridell takes place back in time, hence the time warp Lisha went through with her friends. but then next year, Darigan attacked again. does that mean Meridell caught up with present time (also, note Psellia was there as well, have to keep the timeline straight as she was also present in Altadors time).

Not only that, but the video game, Neopets: The Darkest Faerie, MUST take place in current time, as we have just had the world of Altador released, thanks to Tormund and Roberta. So did Meridells time finally catch up with ours? is it similar to the "slow time" (coined by the heroes of the city inthe video game) Altador was under?--Jacob 18:10, 31 May 2006 (CDT)

Oh god, headache barely covers it. Judging by the ruins at the begininng of the Champions of Meridell plot, Lisha warping back in time managed to avert the destruction of Meridell, so is its form in TDF game just the Meridell which has progresssed through time normally?--Macbeth 09:00, 1 Jun 2006 (CDT)

I happen to think the slow time theory is the only way Meridell can now exist in present time. Just like Altador was hidden and now recently released from the spell Jerdana placed on it, Meridell has now caught up with the present. Besides, for King Skarl to have lived that long, he must be 100s of years old. And i don't think Neopets can do that, just Faeries.

...Unless you think of King Coltzan III. In this article, King Coltzan I found Sakhmet in 873 BN. Would make each successive king really old, considering how many years passed. then again, maybe King Coltzan I didn't give his rule to King Coltzan II, and rule was given to a princess like Princess Amira, and the name "Coltzan" is given in reverance to the kings past.--Jacob 13:37, 1 Jun 2006 (CDT)

Hmmm... Neopets don't die, though, so it is possible for one to live so long. At least, I would have thought so. Mind you, Coltzan died... So NPC Neopets should be able to die, then... --Macbeth 17:10, 1 Jun 2006 (CDT)

King Coltzan died because of murder, and Neopets do die, as there are Ghosts. How they get that way is in question. As far as i know, Faeries are the only creautres who are known to live for hundreds of years. Fyora as example, who 1000 years ago imprisioned The Darkest Faerie. Also, in the video game The Darkest Faerie, when TDF heard the name Jerdana, she claimed she was dead to Tormund and Roberta before they went to Altador. MEaning she killed her, or the old age did. And thus far, we don't have any proof Neopets die from old age, or starvation for that matter.--Jacob 18:34, 1 Jun 2006 (CDT)

A thought on Meridell - with its current participation in world affairs and such, perhaps Lisha did not warp back in time, but pulled Meridell forward through time? --Macbeth 12:39, 29 Jun 2007 (UTC)
Well, that would reason why neopets from present time could participate in the war which supposiedly took place in the past. And again, i'm sure it's very similar to the appearance of Altador, which hid itself for 1000 years...also, on the age of the 12 heroes. It was mentioned in the book of ages Siyana gave the give of longitivity (spelling?) to the heroes, in order to maintain peace for a long time. Just thought i would mention that because the question of how they could be alive today was brought forth...i think. *shrugs* oh well. :D --Jacob 14:25, 29 Jun 2007 (UTC)
"longevity" :). --Macbeth 01:16, 30 Jun 2007 (UTC)

Rename[edit]

Propose rename to Timeline of Neopian History? --Macbeth 12:39, 29 Jun 2007 (UTC)

Sounds good to me. :) --Jacob 14:25, 29 Jun 2007 (UTC)
