To catelouge or not?

I'm considering abolishing the idea of catologing every single avatar image on this wiki, as there are already plenty of websites doing that already. we don't need to work so hard for work that is already done. so please, don't add any more imaages to the list of the avatars given. it's very possible they won't be used (at least not all of them). talk about the history of avatars and notable ones, but don't ad to the list we have. :( --Jacob 23:13, 14 Mar 2006 (CST)

Hmmm...it seems this idea didn't gain much speed since I mentioned this over a year ago. oh well. *shrugs* not like it will matter, as it will only apply if we want to feature this article in the future or not. To state again, I think it would be wasteful for us to work hard on a listing of all avatars, when all we need to do is talk about a history of them and speak of notable ones. Still, article specific avatars, such as ones gained from games, will be placed on those articles. they just won't be collected here.
