The Pooka is a retired species of Petpet. Pookas have extra shiny scales that give them a strange purple glow when swimming around.

Prince[edit]
During the time of Old Maraqua, there was a species of Petpet known as the Prince. Shortly after the destruction of Maraqua, all of these Prince Petpets were converted into Pookas. Petpets that were attached to a Neopet during this conversion were not effected by the change. This means that there are still a few users that have a Prince attached to one of their Neopets. Whenever one of these remaining Prince Petpets is removed from its Neopet, it is immediately converted into a Pooka.
