The Mynci (from Welsh mwnci, monkey) is monkey-like Neopet that was introduced at the site's founding as the Mellish (see below). They are natural acrobats: agile with good balance, they can swing from trees and dangle from their tails to get at the tastiest fruit.
Amongst the four basic colours, as well as the colours Pink, Spotted, Starry, and White, the Mynci's face, ears, and belly remain unchanged while their fur is recoloured.
They are mischievous Neopets who love to play pranks on others. In the Neopets Trading Card Game, they are associated with the element of earth.
Battledome
In the Battledome, Myncis have no natural resistances, but do have six species abilities:
- Mynci Thwack - Attack: 1 - 2 x Physical; Defence: none; available at level 3;
- Mynci Swing - Attack: 2 x Air, 2 x Earth; Defence: none; available from level 13;
- Mynci Wham - Attack: 2 - 3 x Light, 1 - 3 x Physical; Defence: none; available from level 20;
- Mynic Punch - Attack: 2 x Fire, 1 - 2 x Physical; Defence: none; Available on Mynci Day only;
- Mynci Slide - Attack: none; Defence: 3 - 6 x Physical; available on Mynci Day only;
- Mynci Tackle - Attack: 3 x Earth; Defence: none; available on Mynci Day only.
There are also seventeen pieces of equipment that can only be used by a Mynci.
