Disease description confusion
On the Fuzzy Fungus Hospital description it says the disease can turn a pet purple. Can the disease actually turn a pet purple or is this just part of the "flavor text" of the disease? We should put that and information about other misleading descriptions from the Hospital in the trivia section or somewhere. --NeoEva88 17:38, 24 Jul 2006 (CDT)
- Confusion of the disease should go right with the disease description. and on if it actually does that, i don't know. --Jacob 11:39, 25 Jul 2006 (CDT)
Causes of Disease
I am also working on the Disease Causing Items section as I write this. I am just looking through the Battlepedia for weapons that do so and including foods I know do so. I am not including restricted weapons from past war opponents because these weapons will likely never be used again and aren't really worth mentioning. (Example: The Cannon Master used the Coral Cutlass.) --NeoEva88 18:11, 24 Jul 2006 (CDT)
- For the sake of completion, i think it should be mentioned, as they were instrumental to causing the neopian economy to hurt during times of war (prices of cures skyrocketing). --Jacob 11:39, 25 Jul 2006 (CDT)
- Very good point. --NeoEva88 16:43, 25 Jul 2006 (CDT)

Individual Illness Pages?
At the moment, each illness is wikilinked... Surely this page is all that is needed for each disease? Propose removal of illness wikilinks and making them redirect to the disease page (disambiguation for Bubbles, staff member and illness :P). --Macbeth 06:09, 18 Aug 2006 (CDT)
- Hmmmm, good point. Though i think to have all the information needed on certain diseases, it's going to require the table to be either editted, or taken down for sections instead. going to be a little difficult in either case. And yes, a disambiguation page will be needed for Bubbles, thanks for pointing that out. ;) --Jacob 11:47, 18 Aug 2006 (CDT)
Reliability
- but may be less dependable
"[M]ay be"? Surely they are less dependable or they are not...? --Macbeth 03:46, 16 Aug 2007 (UTC)
- I think it's refering to the fact they aren't as potent as regular medicine, and have a lower chance of success. I don't know if that is true though, because i never looked into illnesses and cures that much. :o --Jacob 03:49, 16 Aug 2007 (UTC)
- I'd think it's because they're not "NFDA (Neopian Food and Drug Administration) Approved" or something. Like old family cures, instead of doctors' cures.--Gaeamil 21:21, 5 Dec 2007 (UTC)
Shenkuu Cures
Just a few I've caught here, and I think I can figure out which is which (Note: it's going here b/c I don't know for sure.)
Dried Black Mushrooms: "Eating a few of these might keep Neopets from bumping into so many things." Blurry Vision? I know the Finely Ground Bean Powder is also that, but can't you have 2 Shenkuu cures?
Brilliant Draik Flower: "Keep your feet a normal size with the pollen from this flower." Bloaty Feet if I ever saw it.
Slimy Tree Bark: "Apply this to your Neopets gums if it has difficulty eating or drinking." Neogitus. Apply to gums.
Dried Mushrooms: "After eating these dried mushrooms your Neopet shouldnt be afraid to leave home." NeoPhobia.
Black Cherry Tea: "It is said that this tea has a very calming effect on headaches." Achy Head.
That's all I got for now. Like I said, I have no way to verify this, except for logically figuring it out. My pets have never been sick (although the Wheel of Misfortune said I got sick...), so I have not needed a cure yet.--Gaeamil 21:19, 5 Dec 2007 (UTC)
Add the Shenkuu cure for Ugga-Ugga
I today when I was in Shenkuu, I found this thing called "Shrimp Powder", it's description is "Mix this with a glass of milk and your pets throat will open up a bit so they can say more than Ugga.", I think this means it's a cure for Ugga-Ugga, so please add this information please! -- This comment was left unsigned by 142.161.213.207 (talk | contribs)
- Well spotted. Done. --Macbeth 02:47, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks, I also found another cure for Spyder Bite in the Lost Desert, it's called "Voidberry Extract", I think that should be added too. -- This comment was left unsigned by 142.161.212.124 (talk | contribs)

Help Me
I have two sick pets, a Flotsam with Neomonia and a Lupe with Blurry Vision. I've given my Lupe twice the Finely Ground Bean Powder and it doesn't work. Plus, I don't know the Shenkuu cure for Neomonia. --Kapax 11:19, 7 November 2010 (CST)
