A Disease is any type of sickness that can come over you Neopet. Can be diagnoses at the NeoHospital, and the cures bought at Neopian Pharmacy, or other such stores.
The Wheel of Excitement features a different Disease your Neopet can be afflicted with every few months. (noting what they were and how long they lasted would be good--Jacob 15:34, 14 Apr 2006 (CDT))
