The Assassin refers to the Grey Gelert who made an appearance in Neopets: The Darkest Faerie, who The Darkest Faerie hired to kill Roberta and Tormund. It's said he was once a normal villager but when his wife died he became an Assassin.
Plot summary

Act 3
The Assassin fought Tor and Roberta outside Brightvale, but theirt battle was cut short when the guards rushed out. He eventually fought their final battle within Illusen's Glade, where he escaped before he could be defeated, leaving behind Illusen's Charm which he was guarding.
Trivia
- The sword The Assassin carries is similar to the Sword of Skardsen, which may be an art redesign for the video game.
- On the Neopets TCG card The Assassin, there is a missprint which labeled The Assassin as a Lupe. According to an editorial article, The Neopets Team noticed the error but printing was too far along to fix it.
- There is an image of an Assassin Plushie in the image database, discovered on (need date), but as of July 2007 is unreleased.
