The Kacheek is a fox-like Neopet, and one of the original 14 released on November 14, 1999, when Neopets began, originally known as the Badeek.

Overview

Kacheeks are a shy species which live in the lush meadows. Fun loving, peaceful and very modest, they will avoid violence whenever possible and love to make new friends. They aren't the loudest or the strongest species around, but their calm outlook on life has helped many Kacheeks find fame and fortune. Their floppy ears and bushy tail make them a very popular neopet in Neopia.

When first created, the Kacheek was known as the Badeek. Wearing dark glasses, turned down ears, and a bad attitude they were known around Neopia as "King of Cool". On July 18, 2000, the Badeek was evolved into the Kacheek, and the game Badeek Seek became Kacheek Seek.

Trivia

  • As of August 2009, over 15.3 million Kacheeks have been created, placing them 2nd in popularity out of 54 Neopets. They are also featured in 130 different items.
  • In the Neopets TCG, Kacheeks are associated with the element of Light.
  • Kacheeks were the first pets available in the colour Robot.
  • On Kacheek Day (Jan 29th) Kacheeks may perform special moves in the battledome which are: Kacheek Flower Power, Kacheek Sneeze and Kacheek Slide.
  • The NeoDeck card Kacheek character Shoonee appears to be based on Cupid.
