Thanks for the help
I thank you for your determination to revert the vandalism which is occuring here on on the NeoDex. It's beginning to be a daily event now, though i'm sure it will stop soon...eventually it will...hopefully. :o *crosses fingers* :D --Jacob 11:55, 10 Mar 2007 (CST)
- Considering the vandals (or even possibly a single vandal) are coming from different IPs, and always attacking the same page, I don't think they will give up that easily... :/ --SwordFire 19:08, 10 Mar 2007 (CST)

For your efforts and dedication to the NeoDex, i feel you have earned the right to be an administrator. congradulations! :) --Jacob 13:59, 18 Apr 2007 (CDT)

- I am afraid I am going on a school trip next week, that means no Internet for me :| I will try to remember to check back more often, though.--Demon 16:50, 14 Jun 2008 (CDT)
NeoDex Search Plugin
Can you explain more about the "Neodex Search Plugin"? This the first I've heard about it. Is it a project you worked at on the side? --Jacob 15:51, 16 Sep 2007 (UTC)
- As I mentioned, it's nothing much. It allows the user to add the Neodex to their search bar within Firefox 2 and IE 7, thus allowing them to search for an article on Neodex directly from the browser itself. If required, we can also add search suggestions to the search (eg. typing "neo" returns "neopets", "neopoints" and "neodex"), but for that we'll require at least a database.
- It's something I noticed while setting up Firefox 2 at my workplace. --SwordFire 00:45, 17 Sep 2007 (UTC)
Access to Secret Staff Forum Granted
Hello :) As a staff member at PPT, you have now been granted access to the top secret staff board at PPT for you to meet all the other staff members, and to partake in any site discussion that goes there. We also hold optional weekly meetings online if you wish to attend and find help for any PPT-related projects that you may be on.
All PPT staff now has access, and we need some NeoDex representation there, so head to http://www.pinkpt.com/forum/ - register an account and email me kym@kymhuynh.com your username there so I can grant you access. Hope to see you there. --Kym 06:54, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Double Redirects
Oh, thanks for picking up all those double redirects! I didn't think to check for them when I moved the page, sorry. ;) --Macbeth 02:27, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- I was just looking through the special pages when I noticed the double redirects. :P --SwordFire ( talk | contrib ) 15:25, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
I need a replacement...or something
I'm finally making it officially and stating that I won't be here for awhile, and will need someone to take the lead...or something. Go to the talk page of the community portal to see what I'm talking about. --Jacob 08:22, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
Anti-spam
Nice anti-vandal double-teaming, today! ^^ --Macbeth 18:31, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
Winner's curse
Hey, short version: I deleted the article Winner's curse because quite frankly, I couldn't see how it was an article (see version history).
Long problem-filled version: As you may remember, I resigned a few months ago. So I don't know if the deletion I performed can be considered legitimate. Problem is, nobody ever removed my powers from me. I messaged Kym a few days ago about that. It would be nice if you could tell me what I am supposed to do and if I should restrain myself from sysop actions. --Demon 01:33, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- Once you became sysop, you became a Neodex slave forever, muahaha! ;P
- Jokes aside, I agree that we should remove the sysop permission for inactive accounts (> 3~6 months?) and clearly resigned users, in case of account hijack. If they return again, we could add the sysop permission again. At the moment, if any one of us (sysop) go rouge, we might as well kill the whole Neodex (you know, due to lack of active Neodex administrator to stop rouge sysop in time). :P
- I had tried sending private message to Kym several times on the forum on a different issue, but I can't seem to get him. I will try again on another communication channel. In the mean time, I don't mind if you use the sysop power. Nice to see you again. :) --SwordFire ( talk | contrib ) 02:29, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- Hehe, thanks mate :) Would be nice if you could also address the inactivity of User:NeoEva88 alongside with me.
- Looks like we really have got some activity problems at Neodex :/ At the moment, I do not intend to return (due to me being busy with lessons and real life) and as far as I can see, most of the others aren't very active either. We have like 5 active users at one time at most, of which maybe two are sysops *sigh* What are you gonna do, it has always been like that as far as I can remember. I am glad there are still a few (you, Dizzy and Emeraldosprey) who keep the thing running. Good job, guys :D *hands cookies* --Demon 23:03, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- Hi guys, thanks for the pokes. I made all the changes requested and have removed sysop powers from inactive accounts identified. I usually reply to emails and PMs at 12 PM and 4 PM every day. If I haven't replied to any of your messages in three days, feel free to send it again.--Kym 02:17, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
- Kym, I don't really think this is a good idea because the inactive editors may come back sooner or later and will be shocked to see that they no longer have admin powers. Destiny Charlotte 02:23, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
Accidentally deleted
I don't know how it happened but in the confusion of the vandalism attacks I somehow merged yours and User talk:A Neezles A's talk pages including the page history. I hope everything is accounted for =S --Dizzy 03:47, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
