Similar to the real world, Neopets also celebrates Valentine's Day on February 14. New gift items are released and the news is often written in red.
Trivia
- As of January 2011, there are 128 different Valentine's-related items as well as a few shopkeepers for user-created shops.
- The Valentine's Day avatar, originally released on February 13, 2004, is obtainable by sending someone the I Love You NeoGreeting on either the 13th or 14th.
- The site theme is also obtainable on Valentine's Day by sending the item A Mysterious Valentines Card to someone else. Both parties will receive the site theme unless the sender already has it, in which case the receiver will only get the card and not the site theme itself.
- Although no Valentine's colour exists, others such as Pink and Red are often closely associated with it.
