A paint brush is a special type of item that can be used to change the colour of a Neopet or Petpet. The first paint brushes were released on May 9, 2000. Within the Neopets community, the act of using a paint brush is called "painting". The colour that a Neopet or Petpet becomes after painting depends on which paint brush is used. For example, a Blue Paint Brush will change the colour of a Neopet to Blue, while a Scritchy Sketchy Paint Brush will change the colour of a Neopet to Sketch.
