The title of the plot refers to the scene at the outset of the plot, when the [[Faerie Festival]] was interrupted as nearly all of the [[faerie]]s in the world mysteriously turned to stone<!-- except bottled ones, see "Balthazar discovers the Faeries Ruin" Neopedia article -->.  Without the faeries' magic, [[Faerieland]] began sinking towards the ground, and shadowy creatures began emerging.  During the course of the plot, nearly all activities that involved faeries were suspended � from the games and shops on Faerieland to the [[Neggery]] and the [[Cooking Pot]] � due to the faeries' condition.
