Aubergine is a colour that you can paint your Chia to by feeding it a Magical Aubergine Chia Pop. This colour of chia to a Lupe gives it all the Vitamin D it needs, which the smart Neopets probably know. This colour can also be obtained by zapping you Chia with the Lab Ray. It is not very probable or possible for this colour to be released for a Paint Brush. The design basis of this colour was based on the eggplant.
