Lutari Feathers are the currency accepted by the Survival Academy on Lutari Island. They can be gotten from the Wheel of Happiness or the Bog of Charity.
Unlike dubloons and codestones, feathers can't and never could be used for anything else than paying for the courses at the Survival Academy. There also exists only one kind of feather as opposed to the many different types of dubloons and codestones.
Lutari Feathers can also be obtained from the Trading Post.
