The Slugawoo is an Aquatic Petpet introduced on August 29, 2001. It's a rather slow Petpet.

Scruffy
Before the Slugawoo became the Slugawoo, it was known as a Petpet named Scruffy. It was forced to flee Maraqua, it's original home, when it was destroyed. With the shop selling them gone, they were temporarily unbuyable until August 29, 2001, when the Rock Pool opened on Mystery Island. The Rock Pool never truly sold Scruffies though, as the change took place just before that shop opened.
It is not impossible to still own a Scruffy. Any Petpet who was attached to a Neopet at the time of the change will stay the same until it is removed. This means only a very few people still have a Scruffy.
