Faeries are magical female creatures which inhabit Neopia, and added to Neopets on January 14, 2000. There are six types of common Faeries, known as Spell Faeries, as well as six Uber Faeries, and several special faeries. Here is a complete list of all of the known Neopets faeries:

Bree the Fire Faerie (Also known as the Key Faerie)

Vitrini the Fire Faerie
Siyana the Light Faerie
Persipha the Light Faerie
The Wheel of Excitement Light Faerie
The Faerieland Employment Agency Staff Light Faerie
Essit the Light Faerie
Lucina the Light Faerie
The Corrupted Light Faerie

Spell Faerie

The most basic type of faerie, referred to as Spell Faeries, come in six variates, which correspond to one of the six magical elements of Neopia:

• Air Faerie
• Dark Faerie
• Earth Faerie
• Fire Faerie
• Light Faerie
• Water Faerie

Faeries are sometimes captured by Balthazar or some other faerie hunter and imprisoned in a bottle. Bottled faeries act as items and can be traded. If a Neopet releases one of these faeries, they may be granted a special faerie ability. There are six sets of abilities that can be granted, one for each type of spell faerie, and a pet must be of a high enough level to control the ability the faerie is trying to grant, or else the faerie will just fly away. these abilities become useful for fighting in the Battledome.

Uber Faeries

Main Article: Faerie Quest

As well as the more common spell faerie, there are also six extra-powerful versions of each faerie called the Uber Faeries. They, along with the Faerie Queen, the Fountain Faerie, and the Space Faerie, grant quests to users, asking for specific items in return for altering a pet's stats. Originally, users could request to do a Faerie Quest but because people abused the privilege they were changed into random events on October 2nd, 2000.

Special Faeries

In addition to the six types of elemental Spell Faerie and their Uber Faerie counterparts, there are also eleven other, unique faeries. These are:

• Grey Faerie
• Illusen
• Island Faerie, Jhuidah
• Jhudora
• Library Faerie
• Negg Faerie
• Snow Faerie, Taelia

Dolls

Most faeries are made into dolls sold at the toy shop. Some famous known faeries like Illusen, Psellia, & Siyana also have dolls. Some faerie dolls are seen in faerie globes, again most notable faeries have globes.

Colour

Faerie is one of the many colours that users can paint their Neopets and Petpets. Faeire pets are know for their vibrant colours and beautiful faerie-like wings. The Faerie colour for Neopets was released on January 16, 2001, and the Faerie colour for Petpets was released on November 7, 2001.

Trivia

• Originally, the faeries were pictured as captured in little containers, almost like Tupperware. They evolved over time into the bottles we see them in now.

• Long ago, at the beginning of the site, the faeries didn't have faces. In later years, they were revamped and given the forms they have now.

• When a faerie of any kind is released by a Shoyru, you will get an avatar.
