The Chia is a lovable little character who is full of joy. Chia love exploring the land and making new friends.
The chia was one of the first neopet ever made and comes in the widest variety of colors of all the pets, including a range of fruit colors attained using Magical Chia Pops. Adam Powell owns four asparagus chias plus his bori on his Neopets account, borovan.
Joseph Enterprises, the company that made Chia Pets sued Neopets Inc. for using the name Chia as a species. The lawsuit never got anywhere. The first chia and therefore, first neopet ever made was thyassa mentioned later in the wiki article. The Chia, while being Neopet's first Neopet is not the most common at all. In fact, at the time of writing it is the Twenty-seventh most common Neopet with around only 2 Million in existence.
