The In-Depth Battlepedia, or IDB, is one the largest and earliest collections of information regarding Battledome weapons. It is designed as an expansion of the Battlepedia and provides a searchable database of almost 2,500 weapons, maintained by a large selection of volunteers.

In addition to indexing nearly double the number of weapons that the Battlepedia does, IDB provides much more detailed information about weapon effects - including the quantity of items, extensive testing as the likeliness of healing, freezing, and so forth, and mathematical dissection of the exact number of icons, by damage, that a weapon strikes with. IDB weapon raters also review many of the weapons.

The In-Depth Battlepedia provides a forum for the discussion of Neopets and the Battledome, and hosts a large quantity of information related to the Battledome in addition to just weaponry - such as Negg effects, methods of training, Faerie abilities, and a damage calculator.

Forums

The IDB Forums were created on February 7th, 2004. An IRC channel was linked via java applet on May 30th, 2006. As a battledome site, IDB forums contains various forums relating to the battledome. The following sections were created solely for the battledome...

• Battledome Central - A place to discuss topics relating the battledome
• Challenge Central - Where forum members go to look for battledome fights
• Weapons Advice & Comparisons - Where a user's Battledome Equipment is rated and advice on better replacements
• War Room - Where information on neopets wars is discussed and information such as signups for IDB's own wars takes place
• Battler's Trading Forum - A forum for trading Battledome Equipment and other related items for use in the Trading Post.

IDB also hosts an active area where users can submit articles for other users to read on topics ranging from battledome tips to training tips. Although IDB focuses on the battledome, IDB hosts numerous forums for other topics. There are two main sections: Neopets and Miscellaneous. The Miscellaneous section contains IDB's version of Werewolf, which is the longest running Werewolf series on any neopets related fan site (game #46 as of May 7, 2007).
