The Pterodactyl (also known as the Tyrannian Beast or Lair Beast) is an ancient creature that lurks in the caves north of Tyrannia. Neopets who are brave enough to venture far enough into its cave will encounter the monster.
It is featured in two items, the Lair Beast Tooth Shield and the Lair Beast Claw, and is the enemy in the game [[Bouncy Supreme]).
Trivia
- When spinning the Wheel of Monotony, there is a chance that the prize will direct you to the caves automatically. This will cause your active pet to lose some HP.
- When spinning the Wheel of Mediocrity, there is a chance that the prize will be the green pterodactyl, which will cut your HP in half.
