The Eyrie (from eyrie, an eagle's nest) is a griffin-like Neopet from the tropical climates of Neopia. They can be very playful but also ferocious at times, especially if their territory is threatened. Their great sense of adventure can sometimes overwhelm their equally strong desire to learn.
The Eyrie was originally called the Cerpull which looked more like a typical European dragon than a griffin. The Cerpull was renamed the Tatsu on the 13th of July, 2000. Battledome
In the Battledome, Eyries receive 20% less damage from Air attacks. There are also six species abilities that can be used by Eyries:
- Eyrie Scratch - Attack: 1 - 2 x Physical; Defence: none; available from level 2;
- Eyrie Dive - Attack: 2 x Air, 2 x Light; Defence: none; available from level 12;
- Eyrie Glare - Attack: 2 - 3 x Light, 2 -3 x Darkness; Defence: none; available from level 20;
- Eyrie Peck - Attack: 3 x Earth; Defence: none; available from level 1; available on Eyrie Day only;
- Eyrie Screech - Attack: 2 x Air, 2 x Light; Defence: none; available from level 6; available on Eyrie Day only;
- Eyrie Air Shield - Attack: none; Defence: 3 x Earth; available from level 6; available on Eyrie Day only.
There are also fourteen pieces of equipment that can only be used by an Eyrie.
