The Vaeolus
The Vaeolus is a Griffin-like Altadorian Petpet with flames that sprout from its wings. Has keen eyes and sharp ears, making it quite the superb hunter. Makes a loyal friend for any Neopet. Also as Aeolus is the greek god of winds Vaeolus was cleverly portrayed as a bird which roughly corresponds to the wind.

Plot summary
Altador Plot
- Main article: Altador Plot
During the Altador Plot, a Vaeolus appeared in the Rock Quary, its fiery wings estinguished. Players were tasked with healing him, and upon completion a Skeith from the Petpet Protection League appeared and handed users a diploma, showing the constellation of The Gatherer.

- The Vaeolus is one of the Petpets that is featured in the game Mop n Bop.
- The Vaeolus was selected for Week 222 of the Petpet Protection League.
