Hubrid Nox is the arch-enemy of Magax. He is an evil Chia who despises Lupes and has a variety of weapons named after him, including the Hubrid's Noxious Blade, which does massive damage to Lupes, especially when being mixed with a Carrotblade to form a Noxious Carrotblade. ==Gallery of Evil Description==
He is the antagonist of the games MAGAX: Destroyer and its remake MAGAX: Destroyer II, and is described as the mastermind behind Hubrids Hero Heist.
This evil, nefarious, scheming Chia makes his home atop a desolate mountain in the Haunted Woods. He lives alone, as he prefers his devilish plans not to be interrupted. Whether its conquering just one city, or the whole of Neopia, whether he uses ghosts, aliens, zombies or mutants - Hubrid has an evil plan for every day of the week.

Hubrid's arch enemy is the Wocky known as MAGAX: Destroyer. In fact their conflict is so famous in the world of Neopia they star in their very own game!
Hubrid is credited with the invention of the weapons Hubrids Noxious Blade, which does extra damage to Lupes; and Hubrids Puzzle Box, which are available from the Hidden Tower; and Hubrids Odial Sphere, which has been retired from the Hidden Tower. Hubrids Noxious Blade can be combined in the Cooking Pot with the Carrotblade to make a Noxious Carrotblade.

NeoQuest II
This is an optional boss found in II, the Haunted Woods part 4 of the game. 1,500 hp, high magic user with self healing, Enemy Direct Damage, Enemy Slowing, and Self Hasting. He was accused of casting a spell to make the sun stay up, but it was Edna. He is considered to be one of the hardest bosses in the game, alongside the The Four Faeries, and King Terask II, due to his high magic resistance and frequent healing. However, defeating him will give a high amount of experience.

Hubrid Nox appears in Act IV, on the ninth level of Nox's Fortress. He has 1,500 HP and can heal himself. He has skills in Enemy Direct Damage, Enemy Slowing, and Self Hasting.

Rohane and his party visited Nox because he was accused of casting the spell that made the sun stay up. After he is defeated, he becomes an NPC and says he was freed from a spell that enthralled him. He reveals that it was Edna who cast the spell to keep the sun up.

Although Nox provides some explanation to the act's plot, he and his fortress can be entirely skipped by the player.

In the 2010 plot, Hubrid Nox was considered to be the main antagonist after being seen in Hanso's flashback at the beginning of the story. In this flashback it was shown that he had bought the "artefact" from Hanso (who had stolen it from Xandra), and used it to turn all of the Faeries into stone. However, the 5th chapter of the plot comic confirmed fan speculation that Hubrid Nox was not the real culprit, after he is attacked in the woods by a lookalike. Dialogue from the step that came with Chapter 15 suggests that Hubrid Nox was killed rather than simply stunned, something already hinted at in the 5th chapter by the skull and cross bones symbol in the cloud of smoke. In the 2010 Advent Calendar, this was further evidenced when Magax left a present at his tombstone. As Magax walked away, a ghostly arm reached from the grave and pulled the gift down into the ground.

When questioned, Hanso accused Hubrid Nox of buying an artefact from him (which Hanso himself had stolen from Xandra) and using it to petrify the Faeries. The heroes - Altador, Jazan, Xandra, Brynn, Hanso and an Ogrin - travelled to the Haunted Woods to confront Nox about his involvement. While most of the heroes went in the front entrance of Nox's castle, Hanso slipped in through a window and confronted Nox first.

Nox didn't seem to understand what artefact Hanso meant, but before he could be questioned further, Xandra fell over a trip wire and the castle's traps activated. Nox escaped down a secret passageway and out into the Woods. Too busy praising his own cunning to watch where he was going, Nox ran head-first into something: another Hubrid Nox. The real Nox looked up in horror, and the .

After Faerieland fell, it was revealed that Xandra had cursed the faeries, and had disguised herself as Nox to lay a false trail. She also confirmed that it was she who had "done away with Nox". It is strongly suggested that the real Nox was killed: the skull and crossbones depicted in chapter 5 hinted at this, and the dialogue used in the ninth plot step suggest that Hanso at least believes he is dead. This belief was reinforced by the Advent Calendar animation for the 13 December 2010, where Magax visited Hubrid's grave and left him a present. As Magax walked away, a ghostly arm reached from the grave and pulled the gift down into the ground.
