The Babaa is a sheep-like Petpet that was released on June 8, 2001. They are easily scared and will hide under your Neopets bed when surprised. Babaas are sold in the Neopian Petpet Shop.

• As of May 2007, the Babaa is featured in 23 different items.
• The Babaa has been recognized three times by the Petpet Protection League; the Faerie Babaa in Week 10, the Mutant Babaa in Week 64, and the Tyrannian Babaa in Week 398.
• Babaas are in two neopets videogames.
• In the game Neopets Puzzle Adventure, a Babaa can be used to place a single token on the board before a battle begins. This token cannot be placed next to an existing token.
• It is likely that the Babaa's name is simply a repetition of the onomatopoeia for sheep bleating, baa.
