• As of September 2006, the Spardel is featured in 11 different items.
• The Spardel was featured in Week 2 of the Petpet Protection League.
• In the game Neopets Puzzle Adventure, a Spardel Petpet can be used to prevent an opponent from using any Petpets for three turns.
• A dog that strongly resembles the Spardel is seen in Lindsay's audition tape from the TV show Total Drama Island.
