Prizes
The prizes recieved from the Random Contest include Neopoints, items (usually called an "item of DOOM"), the Random Contest avatar and a trophy for their User Lookup. The items given as prizes usually link in some way to the contest being had, such as Spooky Food and the Halloween Site Theme given in Neopets Pumpkin Carving Extravaganza. Also, entries of art, writing or recording were placed within the database for other viewers to see.
1st place selections usually average 10 people each contest, with the base NP prize being 10K. 2nd place averages 20 people and has an average NP prize of 5K. 3rd place usually has 100 winners, with a base NP prize of 2K.

Contests to be filled out, and dates of when contests occurred

The Random Contest is collection of contests held on Neopets at least once every week. Since October 29, 2004, users have been asked to create different things from competition to competition, with no contest similar to the previous one. Winners receive an avatar, a special item and a Neopoints prize.

Overview

...to be added...

Lawyerbot

The legal advisor of TNT, Lawyerbot, gives warnings to users for each contest. They usually are along the lines of "be careful with scissors", but are sometimes different depending on the contest, and even participates in the contest in some way. In contest #18, at the bottom of the winners page, the following was printed...

Lawyerbot Says:
Lawyerbot is right.
He is always very right.
Do listen to him.

Don't listen to him.
He is just a lawyer bot.
What does a bot know?

In contest #69's description, the text, "You hear high pitched screams...Someone really needs to restrain lawyerbot...", appeared, possibly due to all the legal issues needed to be dealt with for that specific contest. In contest #81, before his usual warnings to be safe while creating a craft, he said, "I always wanted a shiny bracelet," followed by the ":(" smiley. This happened again in contest #85, with Lawyerbot licking his lips then saying, "Yummy! Please save me a piece." In #97, he put on a hat and exclaimed, "Movies with Robots are cool!", hinting (or jokingly giving the impression) it may alter the contest result by then typing "*nudge nudge*" after it.

Trivia

 • In Random Contest #60, the quote "Congratulations to our staff winner Ziggy!" was used, possibly referencing to the dog being shown in the picture.

 • When Random Contest #79 was released, an error of the closing date of the contest was shown on the scrolling text, which said submissions closed on November 10, 2006, which was the date the contest began.
 • While Random Contest #95 was called "Puzzled?", it was made clear in the contest description it was not about confusion.
 • In contest #102, the phrase "Welcome to Kauvara's Magic Camp!" was placed in the contest description, setting up the setting for the user to write a postcard hope to friends and family.
 • The Neopets Team began to place the contest descriptions in with the winning selections with contest #102
