Just checking: positive that you can't lab to Royal, this has been reiterated several times in the Neopian Times, but can one lab a pet into Pirate? I ask this as it was added by an anonymous user, and I think I half-recall a friend having a pet labbed into Pirate, but I can't be sure... --Macbeth 03:24, 27 Aug 2006 (CDT)

The source is accurate, as i own isuue 4 of the magazine, and every issue up to this point. It's the final question in that issue's editorial. --Jacob 12:09, 27 Aug 2006 (CDT) | The source is accurate, as i own isuue 4 of the magazine, and every issue up to this point. Is neocolours.me.uk (interestingly using Nominet's new .me second level domain, designed for personal pages) the descendant of the (no longer) neocolours.co.uk? The logos look similar, as I recall them... --Macbeth 21:53, 31 Aug 2006 (CDT)

Two things... The list...is in a mess of an order. Is it like this for a reason? Also, it states that the list is only of available and active PBs...but the Stone and Glass PBs which are listed, are not active. They are items but not usable. As for dates, do you want the dates that the PB is released or that the color was available? A lot of colors are Lab Ray to start and then a PB is released. --Cath 02:43, 12 Aug 2007 (UTC)

:"Active" means that the item can be owned by people as opposed to "not active" which means the item only can be found in the item database, but not obtained by anyone. It doesn't matter whether the colour is available, the glass and stone paintbrushes are active. The unicorn and jelly paintbrushes on the other hand, those aren't active. | :"Active" means that the item can be owned by people as opposed to "not active" which means the item only can be found in the item database, but not obtained by anyone. :And no, the list is not like this for a reason. If you want to change it, feel free to do so. I think I'll go ahead and make the list abc. ::The list was as it was because that is the way they appear on the Complete List of Paint Brushes (i.e. the order they were created in...i think). listing them alphabetic makes more sense anyways. :D And as this article is about the paintbrushes, the release date noted should be when the paintbrush was released, and not the colour. --Jacob 02:43, 13 Aug 2007 (UTC)

Do you want dates for these? I have decided to go through all the old news articles and notate when color events occur so they can be added when needed and (if I notice them) other notable dates that might be lacking around the wiki. Petpets were not paintable until 2 October 2001 so all of the release dates (if announced) should be findable. And, if so, what is the Date standard for this Wiki? I've seen several different versions.--Cath 02:43, 12 Aug 2007 (UTC)

Yes, we want release dates for the petpet PBs as well. ;) For information about the date notation standard, read Proper editing style in the editing help article. In summary, british or american date notation is fine, as long as the format is the same throughout the article. --Jacob 02:43, 13 Aug 2007 (UTC) |

Non Labbable Colours
Just checking: positive that you can't lab to Royal, this has been reiterated several times in the Neopian Times, but can one lab a pet into Pirate? I ask this as it was added by an anonymous user, and I think I half-recall a friend having a pet labbed into Pirate, but I can't be sure... --Macbeth 03:24, 27 Aug 2006 (CDT)
- OK, bit of research done... I don't have any copies of the Neopets Magazine, but this page quotes issue 4 as saying
Q: Can the Lab Ray change your pet to restricted or limited edition pets? Also, what colours does it NOT change your pet? - Honeybee_girl
- A: Yes, the Lab Ray can turn your Neopet into a restricted or limited edition Neopet. There are a few colours that are not available from the Lab Ray, such as Usuki, Plushie, Baby, Pirate, and Royal.
- I would say that is source enough... --Macbeth 03:36, 27 Aug 2006 (CDT)
The source is accurate, as i own isuue 4 of the magazine, and every issue up to this point. It's the final question in that issue's editorial. --Jacob 12:09, 27 Aug 2006 (CDT)
Trivial Question
Is neocolours.me.uk (interestingly using Nominet's new .me second level domain, designed for personal pages) the descendant of the (no longer) neocolours.co.uk? The logos look similar, as I recall them... --Macbeth 21:53, 31 Aug 2006 (CDT)

Paintbrush colors
Two things... The list...is in a mess of an order. Is it like this for a reason? Petpet PBs
