I have noticed how empty this wiki is and have fixed a couple of articles including the chia one which Yukio apparently noticed (lol). No one is working on this wiki and a wiki isn't interesting when three people are adding to it. This could be a really great idea if more people help. Edit:I have reformatted the lupe and chia pages to contain a lot of information, should I do this to the korbat page or leave it how it is? I think the current korbat page is a little hard to use and I can display the colors better with images like on the lupe and chia pages. Is it okay that I put a signature on any page I completely make to get credit or is this against the rules? I don't want someone to change one word and get it put into their contributions. Also I was wondering if it is okay to use an image from the neoitems database if I give credit? Since the images aren't really theirs and I put a copyright notice of neopets I'm pretty sure it's okay.

Hi [[User:Danelkayam|Danelkayam]]! Yep I completely agree with you. I'm currently working on ways to promote the Neopets Wiki on the main site of PPT itself and get the community happening :) Thank you for showing such interest in it when it's beginning. Much appreciated.

Any of the pages can be reformatted to how the visitor wants as long as it doesn't 'destory' the information so to speak. Therefore, reformatting how the page looks is all fine :)

It's completely fine to place your signature at the end :) Maybe start a line that says "Page started by USERNAME" and have another line below that says "Contributions by" etc. so people know where the crux of the work came from.

As long as credit is given where the image is taken from, then I'm all fine :)

Hey there, just found this wiki and I'm happy to help.  I don't think it's a good idea to sign pages and "claim" them, however, as it is completely opposite of what is wiki is intended to be.  As it says as the bottom of every page, "If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly and redistributed at will, then don't submit it here."  The History will show us who made what changes, and even if I edit something someone else did, the page will still be listed among their contributions.  I think it's a great idea to use the Discussion areas to explain what you did and why, of course, but if you're going to work on a wiki you need to leave your ego at the door.

Hello :) The current articles up are very short just to get the encyclopedia started. What the aim of this project is, is to provide in-depth information on every topic Neopets related.

People, Help

Hi Danelkayam!

As long as credit is given where the image is taken from, then I'm all fine :) --Yukio 23 Aug 2005

I've done my own work on Wikipedia. Are you trying to mimic them, or is the atmosphere going to be less formal? Your current articles listed are anything but formal, especially the Doug Dohring article. Duke of Earl 15:29, 18 Aug 2005 (CDT)

Hello :) The current articles up are very short just to get the encyclopedia started. What the aim of this project is, is to provide in-depth information on every topic Neopets related. --Yukio 23 Aug 2005

Image Query

Any chance that you could permit us to upload images? I've been to other Wikis, and this one looks rather, how you say, plain with only text. We need to upload the images to make them work; hotlinking is not allowed. Any chance of that option being added? --Me (71.101.143.89)

Hmm, that shouldn't be a problem. Only issue is, I can't seem to find where the option to turn this on is. Any direction would be great. --Yukio 23 Aug 2005

wow - I'm pleased this is here

I am personally very please to discover this wiki. I found it searching for mediawikis that had been spammed. I'm on a purge the spam quest. The spam effects mainpage and help-page but I fixed your help page. On my wiki I banned all the IPs used to reduce the chances of more. It mainly hits the help page and the main page. (feel free to remove this message) --194.164.38.128 06:18, 27 Oct 2005 (CDT) Lord Matt

Thanks for the heads up Lord Matt :) Spam is bad mm'kay? lol.

Turning on images

Turning on image uploads is easy if you have the FTP access to the wiki.

Open a file... I forget which config.php I guess and there should be a line to comment out/uncomment - it's will marked save file and re-upload.

Notepad will do the editing task just fine.

Thanks for that :) I've enabled file uploading now for wiki entries :) --Yukio 04:12, 7 Nov 2005 (CST)
