Kadoaties are cat-like Petpets which refuse to sleep in the dark. Should the lights go out, the Kadoatie will cry continuously until they are turned back on, making sleeping with the lights on the only option for most Neopets who own them. When their owners are going on vacation, Kadoaties are sometimes placed in the Kadoatery, where they get lonely and hungry, waiting for someone to feed them - frequently with very expensive tastes, such as for Draik Eggs.
