The amount of Neopoints that can be won from Trudy's Surprise increases with each consecutive day that the game is played, up to 25 days.  On day 26, the consecutive day counter is reset.  The consecutive day counter also resets each time the user goes a full day without playing the game.

Once a day, the user is presented with a slot machine on the next page that he or she visits, with a "Play" button located beneath the slot machine. After clicking the button and causing the reels to spin, the slot machine then stops, awarding a variable amount of Neopoints depending on how many matching images there is. The results are entirely random; despite being a slot machine, the user doesn't choose when to stop the reels, but simply clicks the "Play" button once to play. Trudy's Surprise becomes available to play twenty-four hours after the last spin (rather than the slot machine reappearing at 12:00:00 pm NST, as is sometimes the norm with dailies). If the user waits longer than this time period to spin the reels, then the prizes reset from day one.
To play this game, the user simply needs to click the ''Play'' button. After clicking the button, the reels will spin and the user will be rewarded with Neopoints based on how many matching symbols they received, as well as how many consecutive days that they have played the game.  Sometimes, when a user matches no symbols, they will receive a ''Back Luck Bonus'' instead of their normal winnings.  This Bad Luck Bonus can only be obtained once a week.

After twenty-five consecutive spins, the last of which culminating with an award of 100,000 Neopoints, the prizes then reset. If none of the reels match, then the player can receive a "Bad Luck Bonus" up to once a week, awarding more Neopoints than the usual amount given out when the reels do match.
