The Employment Agency is a quest-based game released on April 2nd, 2001.
The Faerieland Employment Agency is a quest game that was released on April 2, 2001.  In this game, users complete quests, called jobs, by finding a specified number of a certain item within a given time limit.  When a user successfully completes a job, they are rewarded with the base number of Neopoints associated with that job.  User can also earn bonus neopoints if they complete their assigned job quickly.

Overview
There are two types of jobs; basic and super.  Basic jobs have no requirements and can be completed by any user.  Super jobs give out better rewards than basic jobs, but the user must have a job coupon in order to accept them.  New jobs are posted every ten minutes.  Users are only allowed to complete 5 jobs per day.
Users can receive Neopoints for completing jobs, which they are given a certain amount of time to complete. They can range from collecting a certain number of items or receiving a high score in a game.

Users are given the option of selecting between a Basic Job or a Super Job. A basic job has no requirements, and can be completed by any user. Due to this, it's very hard to receive one because they are taken so fast. A super job requires a Job Coupon, and while they are more difficult tasks to complete, they offer a much higher base NP reward.
How to Play
After clicking either the Basic Jobs or Super Jobs link on the main page, users will see a list of all the jobs that are currently available along with detailed information about each job. To accept a job, the user must click that jobs' associated Apply for this job link.  As soon as a user successfully gets the job, the timer for the accepted job begins counting down. To complete the job, the user must place the required number of the requested item into their inventory and then visit the Agency's Status page and click on the link for their current job.  The requested items can be obtained through any means, and users are allowed to use the Shop Wizard to find the requested items.

Upon completing their task, the user returns to the job status page to give their items, and receive an NP reward based on how fast they completed the job, and the base NP reward. Some jobs have a very low base NP reward, and cost much more to complete. It's up to the user which jobs they should take, and if they are worth the effort to complete.
If the user does not complete the job within time limit, the job will be marked as failed. Basic jobs can be quit without failure by paying 200 NP. Super jobs can also be quit to avoid failure, but the job coupon used to obtain the job will not be returned.

Other Notes
Rewards
*New Jobs are posted every 10 minutes on the X:X9:51. (ex. 12:19:51 new jobs appear)
When a user completes a job, they are awarded the base reward associated with the completed job. In addition to this, users can earn bonus neopoints by completing the job in less than 25% of the total allowed time. The number of bonus neopoints awarded are calculated using the below equation:
*All newly posted jobs are generally taken within 30-45 seconds.

*Each user is limited to completing five jobs per day.

*Basic Jobs can be quit without failure by paying 200 NP.

Job Coupons
Job Coupons
Job Coupons are used for Super Jobs, which give a higher base NP award than basic jobs. When a user presented a Job Coupon for a job, it's used as a form of payment, and the user is given back a lower denomination coupon, which continues until the user gives a Green Job Coupon, the lowest level coupon, at which point no coupon will be given.
To accept super jobs, users must have an item called a job coupon.  There are 11 different levels of job coupon with the Gold Brightvale Job Coupon being the highest level and the Green Job Coupon being the lowest level. Whenever a user uses a job coupon to take a super job, the coupon is downgraded one level.  Being the lowest level coupon, the Green Job Coupon simply disappears after being used.

Originally, Job Coupons were given out as promotional prizes for signing up for different sponsors, but have since been shut down. To help create new Job Coupons, the new Brightvale Job Coupon was released, which gave an even higher base NP reward than the previous Job Coupons could. By using these new coupons, users could receive older coupons. Despite this, many coupons are still expensive.
Below are all 11 job coupons, listed from the highest level to the lowest:

Neopets who complete a certain number of jobs receive a designated rank for their achievements. Below are the ranks and the number of jobs they must complete to attain them:

This is an example of a super job. The user must find 3 Organic Chia Wort Roots in 59 minutes and their base reward will be 4,834 NP. A Blue Job Coupon is needed to accept this job.

How to Play[edit]

After clicking either the Basic Jobs or Super Jobs link on the main page, users will see a list of all the jobs that are currently available along with detailed information about each job. To accept a job, the user must click that jobs' associated Apply for this job link. As soon as a user successfully gets the job, the timer for the accepted job begins counting down. To complete the job, the user must place the required number of the requested item into their inventory and then visit the Agency's Status page and click on the link for their current job. The requested items can be obtained through any means, and users are allowed to use the Shop Wizard to find the requested items.

If the user does not complete the job within time limit, the job will be marked as failed. Basic jobs can be quit without failure by paying 200 NP. Super jobs can also be quit to avoid failure, but the job coupon used to obtain the job will not be returned.

Rewards[edit]

When a user completes a job, they are awarded the base reward associated with the completed job. In addition to this, users can earn bonus neopoints by completing the job in less than 25% of the total allowed time. The number of bonus neopoints awarded are calculated using the below equation:

Job Coupons[edit]

To accept super jobs, users must have an item called a job coupon. There are 11 different levels of job coupon with the Gold Brightvale Job Coupon being the highest level and the Green Job Coupon being the lowest level. Whenever a user uses a job coupon to take a super job, the coupon is downgraded one level. Being the lowest level coupon, the Green Job Coupon simply disappears after being used.

Below are all 11 job coupons, listed from the highest level to the lowest:

Each super job requires a specific level of job coupon to complete. Users are allowed to take a job using a higher level coupon than required. For example, a user could use a Pink Job Coupon to take a job that requires only a Silver Job Coupon.

Originally, job coupons were given out as promotional prizes to users who signed up with various Neopets sponsors. This promotional program ended many years ago. Now a days, the only way to obtain job coupons is by winning them from the Wheel of Knowledge or the Wheel of Extravagance or by purchasing them from other users using the Auction House, the Trading Post, or user shops.

Job Rank[edit]

Whenever a user accepts a job, the job is assigned to their active Neopet. The number of jobs a Neopet has completed, as well as the number of jobs they have failed, is displayed on their pet lookup. Each Neopet is also assigned a job rank based on how many jobs they have completed:

Rank Name Number of Jobs Completed
