The Spardel is a dog-like Petpet which isn't very intelligent, but makes up for this with the love it gives. The Spardel was designed by former Neopets artist Claire Hummel, it was based off of her pet dog Sparky. After her dog passed away in 2013, TNT created the Sparky (A petpet that resembles an angelic Spardel) as a tribute to her dog.
