The '''Pile of Soot''' is a [[Petpet]] released on August 3, 2005 that is only available from the [[Petpet Laboratory]]. Any Petpet can become a Pile of Soot. Its body is essentially the remains of the Petpet, with the only mention of it having a body being its two remaining eyes. Some users view this as a negative effect of the Petpet Laboratory. The first time you get a Petpet turned into a Pile of Soot from the Petpet Laboratory you get an [[avatar]]. Most users use cheap, unwanted Petpets to get a Pile of Soot.
The '''Pile of Soot''' is a [[Petpet]] that is only available from the [[Petpet Laboratory]]. According to the item description, a Pile of Soot is the result of a Petpet Lab Ray malfunction. Because Petpets that have been zapped by the Petpet Lab Ray revert back to their original form when removed from their Neopet, the Pile of Soot can not be placed in a user's inventory and thus cannot be sold or traded.
