Count Von Roo is a vampire Blumaroo, over 200 years old. He was said to live in the Haunted Woods, but now resides in a mausoleum on Roo Island. Fear of him coming in the night looking for a tasty snack ensures that Neopians keep their Neohome windows shut.

Count Von Roo  is a vampire Blumaroo that was orignially found in the Haunted Woods. He can also be found at Roo Island.
He sleeps through most of the day, and is only active between 12 am and 1 am NST. Visitors to his tomb during this time can challenge Von Roo to a game of Deadly Dice, with their Neopet's levels at stake. It is also only during these hours that he can be fought in the Battledome.

Gallery of Evil Description
Blumaroos look like the Count if they are painted Halloween.

Living in the darkest reaches of the Haunted Woods, a place so dark that no sunlight at all reaches through the trees, Count von Roo is a very solitary creature... well, until he gets hungry... Von Roo has been known to glide through the night sky to nearby villages in search of a tasty snack.

NeoQuest II
:Main Article: II

Always make sure your window is closed at night, because if you leave it open, you may not be there in the morning...
In the Haunted Woods chapter of NeoQuest II, Rohane and his party save Count Von Roo from Meuka.  He explains that he was not the one who cast the spell locking the sun in the sky, instead, he was trying to cast the counterspell. He reveals that Spider Grundo, Balthazar, and Hubrid Nox worked together to lock the sun in the sky. Count Von Roo admits that he is an "evil, blood-sucking fiend" but makes a truce with Rohane and his party because they are both working toward the same goal.

Battledome Analysis
Random Event
There is one random event involving Count Von Roo:

Count Von Roo's equiptment is unintimidating to anyone. He has only one item that consistently does 6 icons of damage, the Von Spider.  His second best weapon is the Grand Lightning Beam, which does from 4 to 6 icons of damage.
This random event causes the user's active Neopet to lose 1-3 HP. The first time a user receives this event, they unlock Count Von Roo as a challenger in the Battledome.

The only thing a lower level Neopet would have to worry about is his 90 HP.  Count Von Roo lacks any substantial defensive weapons, so he can be taken out quickly with a few strong snowballs, but since these are single use items this may be a bit expensive for some.  Pets with very low HP should bring a healing item with them into the Batledome, but if there HP is that low, healing elixirs that are given occasionally for free at the Healing Springs should be about enough to fully heal that pets HP.

Better Than You
Count Von Roo has been featured in Better Than You on 9 August 2012.

From 12 midnight to 1 AM NST, Neopians can visit Count Von Roo at Roo Island for a game of Deadly Dice.

In this game Neopians roll against Count Von Roo with a level at stake. If the player rolls lower than Count Von Roo, then their Neopet loses a level. If the player rolls higher than Count Von Roo, then their Neopet gains a level.
Trivia
*Count Boris idolizes Count Von Roo, and even dresses up as a vampire.
*He was added to the Gallery of Evil on 9 July 2002, and to the How to Draw section on October 29, 2004.
*Count Von Roo was the New Features theme on February 27, 2015.

If the player ties Count Von Roo, then the player and Count Von Roo both roll again, and the levels at stake our doubled. (The second roll is for two levels, the third is for four levels, etc.)

There is an avatar for playing Deadly Dice.  In order to get it the player must tie Count Von Roo and then win.  The Deadly Dice avatar can actually be lost when playing the game again, so Avatar collectors usually only play until they get the avatar.
