Contradictions?[edit]

It would seem the line

It also features an editorial by site administrator and Neopets co-creator Donna Williams, which answers user submitted questions about Neopets,

contradicts the editors section... --Macbeth 09:32, 2 Jan 2007 (CST)

I've read the editors section of the article, and it doesn't mention the editorial in it at all. Or perhaps you are thinking that the editorial must be written by the editor at all times? To clear this up, perhaps explaining what the editor does in the Neopian Times would be good...mandatory actually, as there is no current explanation. Also, i've been adding editorial links at the bottom of the page which can hopefully better explain who is answering the questions of the editorial, because i do know Donna has been answering them in the past, though this may have changed (and i think it has if i recall *ponders*). Still more editorial links to add. Stay tuned. --Jacob 18:23, 2 Jan 2007 (CST)

Allowed/Not Allowed[edit]

The article claims

referring to time periods that occurred on Earth and not Neopia, stories that take place on Earth, Neopets discovering our solar system and Earth, or anything specifically from Earth

is not allowed - I have seen several stories in the past involving such...

faeries of a type not mentioned on the site

and that... and I've seen

writing about a pet painted a colour that doesn't exist yet

that in conclusions of stories... Particularly about Faerie Ixis before their colour was released o_O. --Macbeth 09:32, 2 Jan 2007 (CST)

The list you are mentioning is the last item of the article i need to edit through before i can say it's completly rewritten (may need to be presented in another way as well). And yes, much of the allowed/disallowed needs to be looked through, because as you mentioned there are stories which have plot devices "not allowed"...or at least the current list would give that impression (or maybe they were once allowed but can't be anymore?). When the article is fully rewritten, will need to call on the help of active Neopian Times authors who understand the rules better. --Jacob 18:23, 2 Jan 2007 (CST)
Speaking of which, where is the line drawn about what a "colour that doesn't exist yet" is? I myself have written about a striped Tuskaninny with red eyes instead of brown (this was before the revamp, but now his red hair-tuff would be un-normal as well!), and it was accepted. Granted, it was the result of a spell, but how far variations from the species norm be taken? Plot-comic hair, anyone? --Freefalldreams 09:43, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
