Giant Snowickle?[edit]
"A well known fact of The Snowager is that he is infact an overgrown Snowickle."
Do we have a source for that comment? --Macbeth 19:39, 8 Aug 2006 (CDT)
- You don't need a source. it's a well known fact. They hoard like the snowager and the item description is "This demanding little beast loves to collect shiny things and cries when you take them away from it." it's a baby Snowager, just like the Turmac is a baby version to you know what. --Jacob 19:48, 8 Aug 2006 (CDT)
Well, just because two creatures have similarities doesn't mean one is an overgrown version of the other... yes, similarities are there, but what about the notable lack of limbs? After all, the Sea Slug is not a giant Slorg, or a giant Slugawoo and Snowbeasts are not overgrown Polarchucks. I find it very probably that there is some sort of link between the Snowager and the Snowickles, but I don't see how we can call it a 'well known fact' when it is speculation - fanlore, if you will... --Macbeth 21:57, 8 Aug 2006 (CDT)
- Turmac --> Turmaculus, Snowickle --> Snowager, Snicklebeast --> Snowbeast, Slugawoo --> Slug Monster, Baby Space Fungus--> Giant Space Fungus...these are all the petpet/monster associations i know, and they are fact. Cute and cuddly petpets turned into fearsome monsters...it's a common story (don't know what, but oh well). I agree the "well known fact" should be revised, as it implies everyone knows, which isn't a ver neutral thing for a wiki to say. However, the fact remains these petpets and their monsters counterparts are related, and will be mentioned as such. --Jacob 22:26, 8 Aug 2006 (CDT)
As it happens, I do recall an editorial which stated that the slug monster hand no relation to the slugawoo. But that aside, there is nothing official to categorically state there is a relationship, specifically, that one is the "overgrown" counterpart of the other. I agree with you in that there does appear to be a relationship, intentionally left by the artists: I agree there is evidence for such a relationship, but there isn't anything to confirm this... Saying, perhaps, that "there appears to be a similarities in both the visual representation and what is known of the behaviour of the Snowager and the Petpet Snowickle, prompting some to suggest a relationship akin to the Turmaculus-Turmac relationship." would be more accurate, in my opinion... --Macbeth 02:05, 10 Aug 2006 (CDT)
- Do I have any response to this? Shall I change it to something akin to the suggestion I made, or...? --Macbeth 21:56, 13 Aug 2006 (CDT)
You know my opinion on it all, so keep it in mind that there is a similarity or a connection when you are writing the descriptions of the petpets and their monster adaptions. edits will be made where nessesary, as is the purpose and intention of a wiki, to be edited and added to for perfection. --Jacob 22:08, 13 Aug 2006 (CDT)
- I have reworked the sentence in question, although I think it may have gotten a bit wordy :S. --Macbeth 00:05, 14 Aug 2006 (CDT)
Random thought: An ice hissi looks a lot like the snowager, don't you think? ---unsigned by 152.163.100.71 18:42, 8 Jan 2007
- They do look similar in design, but the snowager isn't made of ice as the Ice Hissi is or other Ice Neopets. The ice hissi can melt, while the snowager cannot...or so i believe. would like to hear otherwise if this is the case. But again, it is a notable thing to make mention of in the article, as it's another relation the Snowager shares with something in Neopets. --Jacob 19:55, 8 Jan 2007 (CST)
Snowager Attack Damage[edit]
I just went to the Snowager, since I saw that it happened to be asleep, but, when he blasted me and my active pet (not all), my pets managed to hold on to one HP. He had 27/12 before the attack (thank you Healing Springs). So perhaps the Snowager only does about twice the max health of your pet? --Gaeamil 06:55, 20 Nov 2007 (UTC)
- No, I think he always takes a Neopet no matter what HP amount to only a few HP left. It's usually random from what I remember. Or is my memeory just bad? --Jacob 12:47, 23 Dec 2007 (UTC)
- Just got blast by the Snowager again, must be my body odour... As I vaguely recall (excluding the attack which just happened 1 hour ago), my active pet always hold on to 1 hp after the attack. All the inactive pets will be reduced to 0 hp instead. --SwordFire 15:22, 23 Dec 2007 (UTC)
Prizes[edit]
I just got a Race to Riches Scratchcard from the snowager.. Someone might want to add that. -- This comment was left unsigned by TofuKid (talk | contribs)
- Seeing as we don't even have a prize list yet, I suppose that should be on our priority list. ;) --Jacob 12:47, 23 Dec 2007 (UTC)
Well, if we want to start that, my friend and I just BOTH scored something from the Snowager (Plastic Butter Knife and Sparkshooter). He was sleeping soundly indeed. --Gaeamil 06:29, 20 Feb 2008 (UTC)
