King Kelpbeard and his army had the strength to defend their kingdom (with little help from all of Neopia), and were able to force back the attack. New Maraqua now trades with surface once again. King Kelpbeard will not forget that fateful day so many years ago.
After an attack against his old kingdom by Captain Scarblade many years ago, Kelpbeard made a royal decree during the rise of New Maraqua that forbade any of his people from interacting with surface-dwellers. Sometime during the reconstruction, he brought in two orphaned [[Aisha]]s: [[Isca]] and [[Caylis]]; each having abilities of foreseeing good visions and bad omens, respectively. He was forced to banish Caylis after the kingdom's people began harassing her for her omens coming true.
