The Lupe (from the Latin lupus meaning "wolf") is a wolf-like Neopet, released on 13 January 2000, as a selection from a Create-a-Pet Contest. Though hunters by nature, Lupes are loyal Neopets who will often throw themselves into danger to protect their friends. Lupes enjoy adventuring to new territories and prowling around Neopia.
Lupes have a natural rivalry with Chias. Lupe treats are shaped like Chias, and other foods like Chocolate Chias are Lupe delicacies.
